Does anybody know how many eligible voters there are in New Jersey? 2.3 million votes seems like not very many to me.

First off, are they're any Yankee fans among us? I know I can't pick any out by name.

Now for the Mets fans- Clearly you must hate the Yankees much, much more than the Phillies recent success. That would be my guess anyway. I know they are my most hated team in all of sports. I couldn't imagine sharing a town with them. Are you watching and who are you rooting for?

Okay, I am surrendering to the inevitable. I have come to the conclusion that, although I'd rather not, I really need to get current on all the latest trends and developments on the web. Continuing to ignore where the web has gone could have an adverse effect on my career.

I've always considered Twitter to be the domain of teenagers, but I used to think that about Facebook and was completely wrong. Businesses are using Twitter for... well, for something, and I need to...

Remastered Beatles Catalog(ue)

I went looking for a boxed set of the much-hyped Beatles collection, and found (a) that only 100,000 or so were made, and (b) they are entirely sold out, globally. Currently, something like an additional 250,000 editions are being pressed, I am told. I dunno, it seems like a wildly misconceived plan. How would they not sell millions of these?

Anyway, the individual albums are in ready supply, for the most part, and I dove in and bought seven albums:

Its a fictional look at the German invasion and occupation of France.

A must see if you're a Tarantino fan. Not on the level of Pulp Fiction or Reservoir Dogs but probably 3rd best. The acting is very good, particularly this guy in the first scene that hunts jews for the Reich.

i just heard on cnn yesterday that argentina has decriminalized marijuana, and mexico - yes, mexico - is moving to decriminalize possession of small amounts of marijuana, cocaine, and even heroin.

the official comment coming out of argentina said something to the effect that an adult should have the right to indulge in these substances, as long as they don't harm anyone else.

methinks our neighbors to the south are schooling us on common sense.

Little Help - fencing/decking contractors

Hey Fellas, need a little help if anyone can. We just found out we have to get a fence around our pool for insurance purposes. We're thinking of expanding the existing deck while we're at it. Does anyone have any experience having fences or decking installed, especially in the Morris County area? We sort of need to do it in a hurry, too. Thanks in advance.

I'm going to Toronto for a wedding this weekend. Thursday morning until Sunday afternoon. Should have plenty of time to ourselves so I wanted some advice on what to see, where to eat, etc. from those who have been. We are staying at a Mariott downtown (Bloor Yorkville).

I'll certainly do the tower at least once.
We'll need a nice dinner place.
Any cool bars/hangouts that you recall?
How about a daytime activity or two to see? (We've decided to skip...

We've had a thread on summer movies. But no mention of The Hangover.

Saw it two Saturday's ago. One of the funniest movies that I've ever seen. It won't get a lot of marks for clever humor. A lot of it is low brow. But I howled through most of it.
The clever part was how the story was told.

There are six, count 'em, six more weeks of summer. But I have a hard time convincing people that summer doesn't end until about Sep 21. Once we are in propinquity of Labor Day, everyone is ready to write off summer and anxious to start buying parkas. Or football watching stuff.

Today didn't help. A drop of 20 degrees from yesterday. From low 90's to low 70's. And rain.

But those of you who are still looking forward to this year's vacation time,...
